How much does Replit cost?
Replit is free to start on its Starter plan. Core costs $20 a month ($18 billed yearly) and includes $20 of credits; Pro starts at $100 a month ($90 billed yearly) with $100 of credits and larger tiers. Agent work beyond the Free Mode allowance, hosting and databases are paid from those credits.
What are the Replit pricing plans?
Replit sells four plans: Starter (free), Core, Pro and Enterprise. Each paid plan includes monthly credits in dollars, which pay for Agent work in the stronger modes, publishing, databases and storage. Prices below are from the Replit pricing page as of October 2026, before tax.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | Credits | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0 | $0 | Daily Agent credits and monthly cloud credits | Lite build, 1 published app that goes offline after 30 days |
| Core | $20 a month | $18 a month | $20 a month | Full build, Plan mode, unlimited published apps, AI Integrations, up to 5 builders |
| Pro | From $100 a month | From $90 a month | From $100 a month, rolls over 2 months | 10 parallel agents, up to 15 builders, 28-day database rollback, premium support |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | SSO, SCIM, audit logs, private networking |
Pro is sold in credit tiers, and bigger tiers are discounted. Yearly billing takes off up to 10% more:
| Monthly credits | Monthly billing | Yearly billing |
|---|---|---|
| $100 | $100 a month | $90 a month |
| $250 | $225 a month | $215 a month |
| $500 | $440 a month | $425 a month |
| $1,000 | $850 a month | $825 a month |
| $2,500 | $2,050 a month | $2,000 a month |
Is Replit free?
Yes. The Starter plan is free and gives you daily credits for Agent, up to a monthly cap, plus monthly credits for a production database, file storage and publishing. It uses Lite build, a faster mode for focused changes.
The limits matter if you want to launch. Starter gets one published app with a “Made with Replit” badge, and the link goes down after 30 days, though you can publish it again. Full build, Plan mode, Replit AI Integrations and connectors to services like Stripe all need Core or Pro.
How does Replit Agent pricing work?
Replit Agent has a free allowance first, then charges by effort. Its Agent modes work like this:
| Mode | What it costs | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Free Mode | No credits, within your plan’s allowance | Everyday chat, planning and smaller builds; Replit picks the model |
| Power Mode | Monthly credits, by effort | Most work that needs more than Free Mode |
| Max Mode | Monthly credits, by effort | Complex builds and large codebases |
On Core, the pricing page lists up to 30 hours of chat and up to 60 projects on Free Mode, with an allowance that refreshes every five hours on Core and Pro. Starter has a daily Free Mode cap and must upgrade to use Power or Max Mode.
Paid modes use effort-based pricing: a simple fix costs less than a full feature, and a complex build is bundled into one checkpoint that may cost more. Replit asks for confirmation before a paid action starts, but it doesn’t publish a typical cost per request. Plan mode can also bill for reasoning even when no code changes.
What does Replit cost to run an app?
Hosting and databases come out of the same monthly credits, then pay as you go. Replit cut its cloud prices on August 1, 2026. These are the current rates from its August 2026 pricing update:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Autoscale base fee | $1 a month |
| Autoscale compute units | $0.60 per million |
| Autoscale requests | $0.40 per million |
| Outbound data transfer | $0.05 per GiB |
| Database compute | $0.16 per compute hour |
| Database storage | $0.35 per GiB a month |
Autoscale apps only bill while they serve requests and go idle after 15 minutes without traffic. AI calls through Replit AI Integrations are charged at the provider’s public API rate and taken from your credits. On Core, unused monthly credits don’t roll over; on Pro they roll over for two months.
How do you control what you spend on Replit?
With limits you set yourself, because Replit keeps running on pay as you go after your monthly credits are gone. Replit’s spend docs describe three controls:
- Usage limits cap what you spend beyond your monthly credits. At the limit, paid services are blocked until the next billing cycle or until you raise it.
- Usage alerts notify you at spending thresholds, and budgets set hard caps to prevent unexpected charges.
- The Usage page shows spend by project, resource and member in near real time, though Replit’s AI billing docs say new usage can take up to 30 minutes to appear.
| Pack | Price | Saving |
|---|---|---|
| $100 of credits | $100 | None |
| $300 of credits | $290 | $10 |
| $500 of credits | $480 | $20 |
| $1,000 of credits | $950 | $50 |
Packs expire six months after purchase, don’t renew and are used before your limits apply. Auto-reload can buy a new pack when your balance runs low, which is convenient but removes a natural stopping point, so pair it with a usage limit.
How does Replit pricing compare with other builders?
Replit Core is one of the cheaper paid entry points, and its Free Mode is unusual: most builders charge for every build message. Cheapest paid plans we checked on October 24, 2026:
| Tool | Monthly billing | Yearly billing | What you pay for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Replit Core | $20 a month | $18 a month | Credits, with a Free Mode allowance |
| Bolt.new Pro | $25 a month | $18 a month | Tokens |
| Lovable Pro | $25 a month | $21 a month | One credit balance |
| Rork Pro | $20 a month | Not listed | Credits, mobile-first |

Replit review: is it worth the cost?
Replit is strong value if you build a lot and can live inside Free Mode, and harder to predict once you lean on Power or Max Mode. Strengths and weaknesses, from its own docs:
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| Free Mode lets Core and Pro users build without spending credits | Free Mode picks the model; choosing one means paid credits |
| Database, storage and hosting in one bill | No typical cost per Agent request is published |
| Budgets, usage limits and alerts | Starter’s one app goes offline after 30 days |
| Cloud prices cut on August 1, 2026 | Core credits expire monthly; only Pro rolls them over |
Public reviews are mixed. On Trustpilot, Replit scored 2.8 out of 5 from 1,560 reviews when we checked on October 24, 2026. Recurring complaints are credits running out fast, bills above expected limits, the Agent looping on fixes and slow support. Recurring praise is how quickly people get a working app. Trustpilot doesn’t verify reviews, so treat this as user sentiment.
Which Replit plan should you pick?
| You want to | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Try building an app | Starter | Free daily Agent credits and one test app |
| Launch one or more apps | Core | Unlimited published apps and Free Mode, from $18 a month yearly |
| Build heavily or with a team | Pro | Larger credit tiers that roll over, up to 15 builders |
Set a usage limit on day one, since paid usage continues after your credits run out. To compare Replit with other builders, see Replit vs Lovable and Base44 pricing. If you want a tool that also runs support, emails and revenue after launch, see the Replit alternative.
Starty: build it, then run it, with no surprise bills
Starty builds your AI app with sign-in, payments, emails and a support agent already in place, then helps you run the business after launch. It is credit-based and free to start.
- Pro is $25 a month for 100 credits to build and go live with a domain, payments and AI features
- A warning at 20% of credits left; at zero, AI features pause with a friendly message instead of running up overages
- Starty Payments built in, with no account to connect and no Starty fee on your revenue
- Business adds agents for support, marketing, finance and analytics, and nothing goes live without your OK
